Played goal until I was 11. Never once thought of calling myself Big Nev as I guess I wasn't exactly as elegant as he was.

I was around 15 and trying to grow my hair long to be more grunge and my mum insisted I needed to get a trim to clean it up a bit.

I explained this to the barber who said he understood and then proceeded to give me the most brutal mullet you could imagine. Obviously I said it was exactly what I wanted and thanked him before running home as quickly as possible.

My sister put the back of my hair into braids and for one summer I thought I was the coolest cat around. Obviously looking back I was an acne covered teen with a poorly braided mullet but I swear that haircut put magic in my boots.
