Who should start at RB?

Mirallas needs a Baines of his own on that right hand side. Poor Hibbert looked so awkward with the things mirallas was trying to get him doing!

The worry is what the right would be like defensively with mirallas and Coleman.

I'd say for now Hibbert just gets the nod... But at every possible opportunity I'd be getting Coleman on to try and build something.

Coleman and Mirallas down the wing could work quite well i reckon, Mirallas made lots of space down the right for the RB to move into but Hibbo doesn't have an attacking mindset. Tony's a far better tackler then Coleman but Seamus would offer more going forwards and compliment Mirallas i think.

The problem with playing Coleman at right back is that the whole point of a defender is to defend.

And Coleman's weakness is defending.

I'd like to see Oviedo given a shot, give him a run of 5 to 10 games, and if he's any good, problem solved.

Hibbo's been outstanding this season. He's looking better going forward than he ever has too; I think it' a confidence thing

My problem with this is that the strongest attacking threat on the left hand side, in terms of crosses, is Baines, Pienaar just does the work to allow him to get there, he will drop back 5 yards to cover the space, pushing the oppo'sright hand side back.

Trying this on the left will be disastrous, imo, as the best attachking threat is Mirralas,so whats the point of Coleman overlapping? What is the point of Coleman being up that far with Mirallas, when he only needs to cover his space anyway. The pressure will come on from the oppo's left, effectively nullifying any threat from our right as Mirallas will end up covering Coleman, who's weakness is defending. In short, I think that such an attacking right flank would nullify our threat more than increase it.

Pienaar is a touch player, who comes inside, opening space for Baines. Mirallas likes to run with it inside from the flanks, opening space on the outside. So, until such a time as we have a player who is better at defending than Hibbo, and better at crosses from the byline than Mirallas, then I'll stick with Hibbo and his no-nonsense football. That way, Mirallas can at least concentrate on doing his job before covering for the lack of ability of others, and continue to give us some attacking threat.

If we played with 2 attack minded full backs & they both constantly pushed on, we'd get caught out regularly, Hibbo tends to hang back when Baines moves forwards, he gives us balance.

He's given a hard time on Everton forums, but Hibbert's a good right back, he's often judged against Baines, which is ridiculous, as Baines is (for me) the best full back in the league.

Hes a left back/mid....

I want to hear your thoughts on this, imo it should be Coleman

Absolutely it should be Hibbert, and I'm not sure if anyone remembers this but Neville is even worse at rightback. I really would be frightened - actually, terrified - of him coming up against Ben Arfa, while Hibbert pretty much silenced the little french sh*t no problem. He's one again been our most consistent defender.

Short term answer is Hibbo...
long term answer is to buy someone for that position... Coleman worries me defensively and i'm not sure i'd want to risk giving him the time to learn... it's a shame he didn't come back from Blackpool and go straight into being right back here, but injuries meant he played in midfield..
