We are at the point where we get a Dyche/Allardyce in although unlike a few seasons ago we actually have to keep them on longer than the initial survival period. Someone like that can make us a lower half Premier League table who never really look in danger of relegation. Once we get there we can start to move forward.

As I said earlier, doesn't matter who is manager between now and the summer. We aren't staying up. So we either get a manager who can steady the ship get us to the end of the season. Then bring in someone to get us up. Or we get a manager who we accept may go down but can bring us back up.

Anyone who has relatively safe has the job for a decent spell. I have never rated Lampard but was always content to see have 2 or 3 years providing we weren't looking like a relegation team.

That’s what’s got me down right now. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing if we were to make a smart hiring. But our owner and board have so colossally f’d up that we have no money to attract a high profile manager or promised players, and who with any ambition is joining us? There’s a lot of decent managers out there right now, too. So frustrating.

I’d sooner stick with frank than trust these clowns to choose another manager, and that’s not a particularly appetising thought tbh.

I wouldn’t trust them to find their jacksies their own hands.

I look at the job Moyes has done with a West Ham team that was in a similar position a few years ago, I think back to the job he did the first time and I just think he’d be the safest pair of hands.
The downside is it would strengthen Kenwrights hold on the club because Moyes is his boy.
