Who should play against Hull ?

Please, please just let Stones play.

Besic needs to start this one as well. At least you know you're getting 100% effort and passion from him.

Agreed, we need both.

Play your best players in times of struggle - Mirallas, Lukaku, Barkley, Besic, Mccarthy all must start. If that means Mcgeady (sob) or Oviedo on the wings for balance then so be it

Does Oviedo even exist anymore though?

I like Bruce tbh, seems a nice guy and underrated tactically.

All going pear shaped for him this season though and not quite sure why, when the transfer window closed a lot of people felt he and West Ham had done the best business behind Chelsea.

The general feeling amongst Hull City supporters is that when Allam said he was going to sell, then some of the players thought shove this for a game of soldiers and played with a couldn't care less attitude.

Hope we play

Robles
Coleman Stones Jags Garbutt
Besic MCarthy Baines
Mirallas Lukaku Kone

If Stones and/or Jags are injured then Alcaraz first and if both injured then Barry and Alcaraz. I think Distin needs a rest.

I'm torn as to whether we go for Hull's throat or play cagey and counter this match. Obvious concern is defence -or lack of - and that has lent me to think of solidifying the centre of the pitch and if Jags and Stones are out I think Distin unfortunately needs to play for his pace. The thought of Alcaraz and Barry in defence is nightmarish and it'd be a bit rash to throw Browning in.

Really concerned about their striker Hernandez, he is a very lively player and could cause our centre halves serious issues.

You'd think they would at least try their own futures if nothing else.
i though he had bought well at that time to be honest
Apart from Ben Arfa so did I, he made 5m profit in a year on Shane Long alone, almost doubling his outlay.

Thought Allerdyce was going to be first to get the sack and s'ton struggle, I'm awful at predicting football!

Robles
Coleman Jags/Stones/Alcaraz/Browning Baines
McCarthy Besic
McGeady/Kone Barkley Mirallas/Oviedo
Luka

I put 4 CBS because I'm not sure who could be healthy or not- Browning deserves a chance - bright young player. And all that cra about Baines - best LB in the world not best midfield. Give McGeady a chance and if Kevin is injures play Oviedo. Also, you gotta play your best formation and best players in times of struggle, maybe play Maisy instead of Rom because he'll give it his all at least.

Who should play against Hull? Anyone but Everton.

Seriously though, I think we're going to beat these comfortably. They are seriously gash.

Would prefer not to see Alcaraz, Barry or McGeady start.

If Mirallas and Oviedo are fit, I can accept persisting with the 4231, but if either of them are out then it's time to swap into a 4312 - providing we have enough fit CMs to play.

Assuming worst-case scenario of Stones, Jags and McCarthy all unavailable:

Robles
Coleman - Browning - Distin - Garbutt
Besic - Baines
Mirallas - Naismith - Oviedo
Kone

Barkley, Lukaku and Eto'o coming off the bench on about 58 minutes would be a sight.

If Mirallas and Oviedo are not fit to start:

Robles
Coleman - Browning - Distin - Garbutt
Barkley - Besic - Baines
Naismith
Eto'o - Kone

If we can manage to patch together two semi-fit wingers, bring them on to inject pace and width in the last 30 mins and switch to 4231 when they're on.

I'd welcome a 1-0 win right now, particularly if it's Browning nodding in one of Garbutt's corners.

Southall
Stevens Mountfield Ratcliffe Van den Hauwe
Steven Reid Bracewell Sheedy
Sharp Gray

can't go past that, even thought the 1970 team were better, the 85 team hated losing more
Put it another way, in snooker terms, the 1970 team would score the most 147's, but the 85 team would win the close frames the one that would go down to the black ball or a snooker.

That's whats needed now
