Graham Poll was the original Clattenburg, followed by the man himself and then by Michael Oliver.

Other worthy ones include Clattenburg, Wolstenholme from the mid 2000s, and Jeff Winter.

The best ref ever was Roger Kirkpatrick for those old enough and that run of his hahaha. Thomas one of the worst plus Poll just for his shear arrogance. Mate of mine saw him do an after dinner speach and he started with, "there's great referees, then there's Graham Poll". What a tosser.

Clive Thomas used to deliberately make controversial decisions to make himself the centre of attention. The exact opposite of what a referee should do. The only other ref who was as bad that I can remember is Hugh Dallas, the Scottish ref. Honourable mention for Clattenburg though. They should interview these guys, and if they have big egos and show too much vanity they shouldn't be allowed to referee at top level.
