Who is taking over Cahill

Jags..class

Player Valuation: £70m
Cahill who was a key player for us, played over 25 games behind the striker, who will be playing this role? or we we be changing formations now.

Don't really want to Fellaini in the cahill role but he can play in the attacking role,

maybe this is what Moyes got in store, would be better if we could swap Osman with a proper right side midfielder.

Neville....Jags.............Johnny................Baines
.............Gibson..........Rodwell....................

Naysmith/Osman....................................Pieannr

........................Fellaini..................................

...........................Jelavic..................................

Or is naysmith the man to take over Cahill or will he play on the right, dont know much about him, i would perfer to see Fellaini next to gibson to be honest

...................Gibson........Fellaini...............................

Osman.....................................................Pienaar

Yeah i'm bored this morning, off to Asda now for Cheese and spaghetti but if we could bring Donavan to the team, then i would be well happy and keep what we have.

Yeah, I'd be chuffed if we nailed Donovan for the right flank, and played Naismith tucked in just behind Jelavic. Gibson to sit as the deeper of the central midfielders, allowing Fellaini to monster up the place.

Then turn our attention to a decent right-back in the January window, funds permitting...

I would play Rodwell or Barkley their.

Rodwell looked better for England, when given more of a free role, not bogged down by defensive instructions.

Would love to see this:

Howard

Coleman - Jagielka - Heitinga - Baines

Gibson - Fellaini

Naismith - Osman - Pienaar

Jelavic

To be honest, would like Barkley in Osman's position, but he'll get his chance from the bench initially.

We also have Rodwell who will hopefully push Gibson for his place, and Gueye who could take the left sided slot with Pienaar moving central. If we had Donovan too, he could play on the right with Naismith pushing central.

All in all - we're not short of options in Cahill's role, though none of them are quite in Tim's mould. They'll look to create more, whereas Tim looked to arrive late and finish.

As such, our style will change somewhat, inevitably, but I don't see it as a bad thing.

Definitely not a bad thing mate, quite excited by the prospect of it to be frank. I think when Cahill was out of the team towards the end of the season in 11/12, we weren't as static as we were when he was playing, and proved a lot of the doubters that we can play the game the right way, Moyes isn't completely negative, etc.

As for my thoughts on the 'Cahill' role, I'd like to see Rodwell, Osman or Barkley there. I know Rodwell hasn't been consistent when it comes down to showing the attacking side to his game, but to be fair to him he's had more than enough injury set backs already in his career. I think it would be the making of him if he was given a run in that position.

Osman being given that sort of freedom would be interesting, there's a vast improvement in his performances when he's not on the wing. He's creative enough to fill that role, too.

Oh, and as for Barkley, he's boss.

This for me.

Rodwell and Felli can alternate - Felli bursting from deep.

I don't wanna see Felli up top. Yes hes had some monster games there, but also some gash ones.

I wanna see him smashing the midfield opposition up. He loves it

- I actually think we could see a change in formation.

Howard
Yobo---------Duffy-------Hibbert---------Ward

Jelavic-------Neville------Heitinga
Osman
Fellaini----Vellios
