AVB, he has a good theory about football. Think his issue with Chelsea was to many big egos in the dressing room, it seemed a constant battle because even when he did things like drop Lampard the press where on him.

I'd offer him the job and give him 5 years to get his team playing his football, hopefully setting his theory right through the reserves, youth team to grass roots. Maybe look at selling Rodwell and Jags to get some cash in first, at least give him some hope of a transfer chest

It could take longer than 5 years to correct the damage that will have been done in the last 10.

I think its a way of re-educating the players with someone with new ideas and training techniques, Wenger did it in a matter of months, people like Winterburn, Adams and Bould playing like continental defenders and brining the ball out.

I like AVB, and wish him all the well and would welcome hime at GP, there would be less ego's in the dressing room, less media attention and I think he could slowly build something strong

Voted for AVB. I was tempted to vote Brendan Rogers but as others have said on here, we should wait and see how Swansea are doing next season before deciding on whether he could be the new saviour I think AVB is a good manager, its not his fault that the pr!cks at Chelsea wouldn't listen to him. However I can't see AVB coming to us, I doubt we could afford him for one thing.

A more realistic choice might be Roy Hodgson (I know he's ex RS but its not as if he was there long).

I hope whoever comes in next can do this. it can't get any worse.

Agreed, but I can't help but remember the David Moyes who was such a breath of fresh air when he first joined us. He played 4-3-3 with Super Kev, Radzinski & a 16-year old Rooney!!!! Where has that man gone & who is this imposter who sulks, is defeatist, dour, negative, often plays without a striker, squeezes all flair from attackers & sells them at huge losses, puts down his players in the media, drops 6 players for a derby, etc????

This. Bielsa has done something very similar in Bilbao

Voted for Marcelo Bielsa but I don't know how good is his english. He is a top name in south america and athletico really killed manu- he is a great tactician but his teams also play very good and entertaining football.
