Thats true. His dad had been injured at work a few years earlier, and the pay out was enough to move to the Wirral.

...cheers. Lovely school, unfortunately one that parents would send their kids to from over the city. It was great playing footy there in the early 70s because you got a cup of tea and a pasty after the game.

...loved that school. Ronnie was older than me but I remember Mr Baxter giving him his England Schoolboy cap on the stage.

Good information. That settles that one, Whitefield Road, probably born in Mill Road so I think we can say he’s an Everton lad.
