The 2-4 against United at home

The whole of the country was watching us, hoping that we could somehow defeat the scum and keep the title race interesting - We flew into a two goal lead (including that rocket that Fernandes) - Then our arse fell out and we conceded 4 to a United side that contained Chris Eagles

For some reason, the thought of that game has always made me mad - I was embarrassed by us that day

Both 2009/10? derbies were painful. We battered Liverpool in both of them and ended up losing both. The Goodison one we lost 2-0 and they only had one shot on target. Mascherano had a lucky punt that took a horrible deflection and went in. Reina made all sorts of saves and we hit nearly all the woodwork. In the away leg again we were far better and kyrgiakos got sent odf. They rode their luck and got a horrible kuyt goal. At that point i thought we'll never win a derby again, and we've only won the one v Hodgson since. Pathetic from Everton.

The 1986 final. I was 15, and football means everything when you're that age. I cried when they equalised because I knew, and everyone else in the ground knew, what was going to happen. I told my dad I wanted to go home, and in true style he told me to shut up because he'd paid a fortune for the tickets!! Never forgave Gary Stevens.

I was at that one. For the stubbs goal a kid beside me set off an air horn and it put van dar sar off. He genuinely looked over and pointed at the kid. He's ma took the horn and hid it.

But I felt rock bottom when judas scored.

The worst pain is inflicted in ones youth, after more than forty years I'm generally conditioned to disappointment these days, still smarts a bit like. From my youth, I'd go with:
The Fairclough derby, last minute of injury time ffs
The Clive Thomas derby, still hurts ffs
Losing 0-2 at home to Fulham in 75 having been all the way down to Plymouth for my first away in the previous round. Viv Busby ffs.
The league cup final in 77, Little ffs
The 0-5, Glen Keeley ffs

Yes I always wanted to kill Clive Thomas, evil self loving git

5. Everton 2 - 3 Villa. Ashley Young. Not really a rock bottom feeling but I was absolutely fuming after that one.

4. Everton 0 - 4 Bolton followed by Aston Villa 4 - 0 Everton, followed by Everton 1 - 3 Liverpool. Horrific period in 2005 a few weeks after the West Brom 4 - 0 Everton.

3. Everton 0 - 3 Tranmere in the cup.

2. Villarreal in the CL qualifier

1. Liverpool Semi Final the other year

Ugh. Feel gutted now. Got an irish history exam at 9 in the morning as well. [Poor language removed] everton. [Poor language removed] Edward Carson and [Poor language removed] the motherfucking GAA is my feelings, although I may have gotten my emotions about Everton mixed up a bit with my exam revision
