Which Everton games have left you feeling at rock bottom?

Currently feel as low about Everton as I ever have, I would include Coventry 98 in that too.

Out to Swansea 3-0 first game in LC, a team that had never beaten us.
3rd round exit after a home tie to West Ham. Big Sam's West Ham ffs.
22 points from 21 with 0 wins over xmas to the likes of Hull, Stoke, Newcastle and Southampton.

All achieved with our record signing and best squad in the premiership era.

Koff Everton.

As a kid losing 3-1 to Wimbledon at Plough Lane in the cup - 87, or possibly 88. Either way it was grim viewing.
As an adult Boro away in the cup - complete non-performance and any or all of the derbies mentioned above.

Hull at home the other week was really bad. Wigan in the cup at home a few years back is up for special mention as well.
This!!I remember coming on here after the hull game and saying how it was typical of our performance all season so far and that it didnt bode well for the future...took a bit of stick but unfortunately I think I may have been right with the matches that have followed and where we find ourselves....ah well thats the trials&tribulations of being a toffee but id never change it for anything in the world...if anything tonight showed me we still have spirit and that RM hasnt lost the dressing room..COYB

Getting a 12 hour coach journey back from Belguim to Liverpool, on a coach full of mega-pissed off Blues calling for Moyes to be sacked, after Standard Liege knocked us out of the UEFA Cup at the first round stage in 2008.

Losing 4-0 in successive weeks to Bolton at Goodison and away at Villa at Christmas 2005, and seriously thinking we were going to get relegated.

FA Cup Finals 1986, 1989 and FA Cup Semi 2012.

FA Cup Final 2009, particularly sitting on a tube train post match with some Chelsea fans who didn't even bother to stay to see their team lift the cup.

Plane back from Lisbon after Benfica beat us 5-0.

After the Villareal & Dynamo Bucharest games, 2005.

After the Fiorentina defeat on penalties, 2010.

The night Rooney signed for Man Utd.

To be fair, if they're all a '10' on the rubbishness scale, tonight is maybe a 4 or 5 at most.

Wigan three nill was bad but the Villarreal one was such a blatant fix. They didn't want 5 english teams in Europe so they gave us the best team we could face and a corrupt ref. Makes me fume to this day

Last season derby at Anfield. I payed 200£ for a ticket at the away end. I really hoped for a result and a special night.
I ve never seen the fourth goal, I drank beer from half time and returned to the stand when the penalty came out.
I was shocked.

To throw another in the mix, that Sunderland loss at home last year hurt but for different reasons.

Despite us playing superb and murdering them all game I think the dropped 3 points that day had a massive impact on our top 4 challenge. I felt very proud but sick coming out that day, physically sick.

It makes me smile now though to think how much that Gerard slip must of hurt....those rare losses like us v Sunderland when your near the top are painful. They're likes water off a ducks back when you're rubbish.
