..the bloke hasn’t been appointed, we don’t know what players might come in and I thought we already had a predictor thread for next season.

If/when he becomes manager the target should be 1st,minimum should be 7th,its a league full of average teams

Realistically we should be aiming for 7th. We’ve have an awful season. The squad is way too big, with a lot of dross that needs shifted. We will be on our third manager (4th if you include unsy) within a year, and with a new DoF that needs time to get the club set up in the way he wants with a style etc, the benefits of which won’t be seen for a few years once it’s all working well.

If we can consolidate 7th in a similar way that koeman had us as clearly the best of the rest, but with a closer gap to the top 6, then it’s a good job. If arsenal/Chelsea slip more and struggle with their new managers, then I’d expect us to go after them and be top 6. Good cup runs would also be decent.

Hard to say as we’ve signed no one yet, including Silva.
I still think it’s not all done and dusted with him anyway.

But if it was Silva on his own I’d be terrified.
Because he has Brands with him, I’ll go for 6th.
My reasoning is this. These players have been told they are next to useless, not in so many words, but when you get Managers who go to top 6 grounds and basically play for a small loss, then the psychological damage is done.

A couple of classy signings with pace, and a Manager willing to have a go could change the confidence around the place totally.

I think next season will be much of the same position wise, 7th but a comfortable 7th and i think we'll be closer in point to the top 4. I don't know why but i've a good feeling about Silva and think he and Brands will do well.

After watching the dross that passed for football last season I'd take average as a benchmark we can aspire to.
Agree but considering how crap we were,we finished 8th and with a bit more ambition against the mighty WBA we could have even sneaked seventh place, thats how bad the league is so 7th should be a minimum

Between 7-12th. I don't have much faith that he will make an immediate improvement as there's probably too much crap in the squad that will take too long to get rid of in one summer alone.

If there is a mass clearout.

If we spend 100mil on top of that on a handful of u23 players in starting roles.

We will finish 6-10th.

Then in 2 seasons top 4.

If brands keeps most of the players then probably near the bottom as they dont fit his style.
