Trouble is when things aren't going our way no one thunders in with a big tackle, that's the sort of thing that can change momentum and get the fans on their feet. Nothing gets Goodison aggressive like an opponent being booted into touch.

Neville's tackle on Ronaldo is a great example of this he may have been a limited footballer but he brought that aggression, leadership, snide side to the game which evidently won us games whether we like it or not. Again it stems back to a thread about leadership a couple of weeks back and it was overwhelmingly clear that is what we are crying out for.

That's part of the trouble we have no one who will go through other players when we are having a bad spell. We are all a bit too 'nice'. Barry gets himself stuck in but his is more cynical, we have no Peter Reid or Andy Grey

There is truth in this, Naisy was a proper snide and I used to love that about him.

It was the right time for Naisy to go, but sadly we seem to have re-invested in Niasse who has half of the impact Naismith is capable of having.
