I was under the impression it is midfielders and a defender or two we require.

Paper talk. These rumours probably get published ing the papers at 10.30pm last night and we read them the next day when a team already bag a player or something different happens. That or they just fill space on websites/colum inches.

In terms of the Everton...no one in the press outside of the north west have a clue about the club so make stuff up like we're going to spend £6mill on a striker. We wont get another striker now Jo is here.

Saha and Vaughan cant be relied upon to stay fit.

Anichebe isn't the best and often played wide right, suspect he will be off sooner rather than later.

So that leaves us with just Yak and Jo...

Oh, and Tuncay has played attacking mid and on either wing. High work rate and versatile. He would be loved here.

Well that just shows that he is unprofessional. If Lescott hadn't turned up for training coz he wanted to go to city we would all slate him. As Tuncay is contracted to Middlesbrough he should turn up regardless of if he wants to stay or not. Would you skip work if you wanted to leave??? Dont think so.

According to local papers here, neither Afonso Alves, Tuncay or Mido showed up when the team gathered today. Don't know about the others but Alves have done that before when he wants to leave a club.
