Tiredness, loss of form and injuries.

The difference between us and the teams around us is they have adequate cover to be competetive all season.

They lose a player through injury, they replace him with one just as good who's comfortable in the same role.

Player underperforming? Drop him, give someone else ago.

Player looking tired? Give him a rest for a few games.

We cant do that.

Moyes has become more and more morose. He's killed Barkley early on, murdered Jellavic, is currently strangling Mirrallas, and is slowly dismembering Fellaini by rotating his position on a weekly basis.

No investment in January. That's it in a nutshell. The other clubs around us strengthened so will push on. New faces give everyone from the fans to the players a lift. The board have let the club down AGAIN!

Small squad who can't compete at that level over the course of a season.

If we got investment in the team on a regular basis so that we actually had a quality bench we'd still be challenging for 4th.

Small squad. No investment. Players becoming jaded.

tired and small squad, lack of ambition and tactical bravery, we have been sussed and in fairness to moyes we dont have the quality or numbers to change it, nothing we didnt know going into the window, that was the end of any realistic chance of forth.

A very poor January transfer window. Nothing to freshen the side up, we're sale and have ran out of ideas.

Players are getting tired, teams have countered the threat of Fellaini and have out more focous on defending against Pienaar and Baines.

All of this, really. We'd have won that game earlier this season. As it happened, the players were absolutely knackered. Moyes could have done more to gee them up, imo and could have made changes earlier but Kev and Bryan still contributed very little when they did come on. We ran out of steam. I hope we find another gear before the season ends or it could be a bit of a collapse.

I think Neville's demise has had a significant affect. He used to be able to do a good/decent job in midfield, but he's totally finished now, in any of the positions he used to play in.

All the players that were buzzing at the start of the season have faded away. It's been hard to pick a man of the match for most games this year, they've all took a dive in form.

would agree players tired if they were playing 3 games a week regulary but surely a weeks rest is enough. take todays game fans 5/6 hrs on coaches players 40 mins on plane not to tiring.

The realisation that we could actually win /do something. And completely messing up a January transfer window by limiting who we wanted.

Tbh there is always A team round the top 6 that just plummets after the half season mark am not saying where in for a relagation battle or that but it's very real possabilaty that we might struggle to get in the top half of the table if we carry on. But saying that a win over Oldham then reading and things will be looking all rosey again eh.

I would expect nothing less than 2 wins at home against both. If we fail to win either then there will be real trouble brewing!

While we played great attacking football. It really only came in the first half. The second half of games were usually quite a bit slower because of being a goal or two ahead from the first half and/or tiredness. That style of play was constant high passing tempo and movement, watching it you could see players going at 110%. With no squad rotation how can you expect a team to keep up that kind of style while remaining fresh for the entire season?

Pretty much this. Look who was the first scorer for norwich today,a January signing. Regardless if they score or not, teams get new energy when bodies are added.
