If i had a dime for each time i heard a fan utter these words ''local derbies have lost their spark because foreign players don't know what they mean to us fans'' or ''the likes of Chelsea are ruining the game, buying titles with their owners' ill gotten gains'' - then i'd be a very wealthy man by one. Pretty surprised that most of you went for ''A'' tbh.

Load of shoite.

What would I rather?

Hmmm

Oh I've got it.

I'd rather we were Everton. I don't give 2 rude words what other teams do.

I just want Everton to win. Everything.

I would rather we win the Europa League with a team that comprises of local lads tbh. I wouldn't get the same warm, fuzzy feeling if some overpaid mercinaries who don't give a flying hoot about the club went on to win the Champions League while wearing an Everton jersey. I'm sorry, but such a ''victory'' just would leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
I agree with this. I understand that others don't feel the same. Each to their own.

More people were buzzing off Athletic Bilbao last season than off Man City. I seem to remember Man City winning something.

I think if we got relegated, we'd be taken over so quickly. The potential for investment and return is very quick and
High.

i definitely think there is something to be said about the Bibao model. As has already been mentioned, arguably Englands two best players are scousers in Gerrard and Rooney. If you want to go to a generation before that, the key player was Owen.
The point is, the hardest youth leagues in the country by some distance are the Merseyside ones. So I would love the club to really tap into that. That means hiring the best coaches in Europe and working closely with the youth leagues.

I have a feeling that as a club, we seem to scout big, strong, tall, fast athletes not necessary the best footballers. The can physically bully everyone at youth level but find it hard to make the step up- (this is a national problem not just Everton, but I know some of our scouts take the same approach).

So really taping into the unquestionable talent that exists in this area would be amazing. In itself it would not make Everton a driving force in the Premiership, it has to be in conjunction with genuine investment and adding bits of quality from the continent. So if we had the money I would love Everton to have the best youth development in the country.

our board would sell our best young players, just as they have done and will continue to do so,board only exist to sell and make profit, not win trophys, they are happy with the way it is,unlike most blues.
