McBain

Player Valuation: £80m
There's probably a few of on here who have done the yards and now sit atop a big pile of De Niro's.

The rest of us scrape, week in week out, with not much leeway if the bottom falls out.

I'm a bit sick of it, and have decided to try something new.

I've decided to give Cat Burgling a go. Got my black tights and my turtle neck, my beanie and my sneakers on. I'm right into studying how to pick locks, and disable high tech security systems.

I've watched all four Oceans Movies, including the original. How the [Poor language removed] did they sneak out with the Arsenal team??

Anyway, I'm only targeting people with Ginormous Houses and shed loads of dosh. I'm aiming for a million beans, and I'll retire.

Advice? Obviously not if your a Copper/Secret Service type. Actually, if you are a Copper/Secret Service type, what am I looking at if I get caught?

Not that I'm that stupid, mind *Hides IP

train to be a locksmith, I break into houses for a living and all legal.

I would love your job tbh mate, driving round looking for places to film sounds like mull time to me (so as to enhance the locations purely for art of course).

The funny thing is though, anyone can do it. Get yourself a camera and a laptop, find a person called a 'Location Manager' in any Film Production Directory, and convince him to hire you for the day. You'll pick it up as you go along. It'll take a couple of years to really get the hang of it, it's that easy, and the pay can be pretty spectacular. Us Locations people have usually worked around different fields for years, bored with our variety of jobs and deciding to try something more creative. You need to be able to chat to people, be able to convince them to let you in to wherever you might think would look cool on TV/matches your brief and when you gain more experience, be able to assess a location logistically for a film crew.

The bloke I'm working with on this show got into the game in his late 30's, after being a Bus Driver, Trawler Captain...heaps of things. Came to Aus from Northumberland during the Thatcher years, now in his 60's, and he does most of the Hollywood films that come down this way, and has traveled the length and breadth of the country.

I have a listing too!

Whats the G Road mate?

real life isnt Dances with wolves, you cant just `turn scal` like whatsisname did when he `turned injun` other-wise you`re just tripping and you`ll either get sussed out or end up in a concrete over-coat floating in the east river doing hard time.

So...stay what your doing because look at what happened to Kevin Costner?

You okay, lid?

Capitalism , Lid

You would have done capitalism?

You on the glue again?

Draughtsman was my aim, but had the carpet whipped from under me at the end of my apprenticeship, which left me with a trade that I didn't want and no opportunity to carry on training to be a draffy.

Of jobs that I would've been happy to carry on doing....

Marine Fitter at Garden Island (Harry's for dinner every day).

Fencer in Sydney, loved it being outside all the time, pay wasn't all that but really used to enjoy being out there and having a different workplace every day.
