What would/could make you stop supporting Everton, if anything?

I got this idea after reading in the Rooney thread where @Slippin Jimmy said he would stop supporting Everton if Rooney came back.

So Blues are there any reasons you can think of that would stop you supporting the Toffees?

For me, nothing could as it's so ingrained in me and I long for the glory years to come full circle. However if I had only being following football a few years, I'd probably not bother, the money in the game and the elitism taking place would have me following rugby or something in no time.

Unfortunately I could never give up Everton.

I could handle it while our new super dock stadium is built, any other reason no way.

I don't see how anything really would. If something absolutely horrific happened, surely the way forward would be to resist / rebel.

Sort of like Katsumoto in The Last Samurai. He rebels against the Emperor in service to the Emperor. A more faithful analogy might be MK Dons / Wimbledon FC.
