What was your favourite European away trip?

Nurnburg was quality - doubly so because it was my birthday and we won, Benfica was great apart from the 90 mins we had to endure and the fannying about at the airport being moved from gate to gate on departure.....enjoyed Liege because we were in their end, and I met Fellaini outside going the match the week after we signed him from them.

My first time to Feyenoord in 1979 was special. And i was fortunate to attend the whole of the European Cup Winners cup games away from home so that was something else. I did every game that season in all domestic competitions 63 in all and very proud to say that i did it.

Go on, admit it, UCD away was the best, haha.

Quality mate. Your eyes have seen the glory

Benfica was sh*te. The stadium was awesome but the game itself must rank as Moyes worse hour apart from Dynamo Bucharest

Horrible it was, however, we did have a backfour of something liek Gosling - Hibbert - Distin - Coleman though, Yobo faking injury then playing for Nigeria three days later.

Alkmaar 4 days on the lash in Amsterdam
Athens 4 days on the lash
Nuremberg - incredible.

Couldn't do Lisbon - too painful - my brother died in Lisbon in 2005.

Antwerp 1979 - Beerschot FC - something else.

Cup winners cup final........ For some reason it has to go down as the best.

Kharkiv was a cracker.

Fortuna Sittard pre season was different...... The gay Olympics was on in Amsterdam at the time.

never been to an away fixture in Europe sad to say. Had tickets for the UEFA cup final the year we went out to Fiorentina but even that was in Manchester. Travelled to a pre-season friendly against Chicago fire

Going to Eurodisney. Oh, wait....have I got the gist of this thread wrong?

Sadly, I haven't seen the blues in Europe as I have been too pissed off with the majority of the Moyes/Kenwright years and I was too young in the 80s when we were the greatest.

Almost doesn't count as an away game for me because i'm from Bergen and sat in the home stands, but Brann - Everton was just amazing. Met some very drunk Evertonians that day :D
