What was the point of getting Castillo?

Are we entitled though mate, ok hes paid a lot but has earned a lot too. I personally feel hes earned the money, i know we are all pissed of and the football this season has been dire, but perspective is needed also would you have taken 4 points of Arsenal, 5 of Villa in the top four.

Im not defending his decisons at all costs because i think in a lot of games hes made a pigs ear of the game in terms of decisons. But he makes more good ones then bad, we accept the good ones as granted but we linger on the bad ones and rub it in his nose. Yes he is culpable but it is important to look at the bigger picture i.e. past seasons, money available, potential in the squad, managers track record, other teams inconsistencey.

Ok we dont look like having the form to push on, but the ability is their in terms of the team and the manager, every season is uniuqe and it has to be said no one bar the top four and Villa have shown any great level of consistencey. Yes we are lucky to be 7th on current form but its better then another 13 in the leauge.

We could strike a formula all of a sudden and it could be lift of, who knows. The potential in team was evident in the second half against Utd and if we can get close to that again im not worried.

Neil, neither of us really knows what goes on behind the scenes. So granted, you might be correct in your analysis. I think my view, which I still believe is right, was coloured somewhat with the summer fiasco. I've just got this feeling that there is something not right within Moyes' own mind at the moment.

But I admit freely that Moyes ought to be the man for the job. That's why I'm peeved that he's made such a pig's eare of things lately. And with reference to his salary, I think it being so large does give us the right to put him under microscope somewhat. Okay, now it doesn't give us the right to expect us to be better than we are, and start winning every game we play. But there is the playing staff there that can play decent football. And that we lack a holding midfielder is really Moyes' fault. He deserves criticism when he gets it wrong, and praise when he gets it right.

But one thing: this constant booing at Everton is [Poor language removed]. It doesn't help the team, the manager or anyone else. Moyes isn't the devil, so I think the fans should concentrate on cheering the team on. Surely it is better to leave the bitchin' to the pub or internet. Things are not that bad yet. We are not the Geordies, we are Everton.

Segundooooooo!

:D

Castillo - on loan
Fellaini - 15m
That is the answer.
Moyes will look stupid if he left fellaini out.

My flash thoughts on that.

Moyes is expecting Cahill to be his normal injured, Fellaini is our new ghost into the box(He has already shown he can do this), and Castillo will do the Carsley role(I am hugely confident he can do this also).

My only wrong straw in ker plunck is that they have not all been available at the same time yet this season.

I will still add that Fellaini for 15million will still turn out to be a huge bargain. 30 mill within the next 3 years.

I am so [Poor language removed] glad he is ours.

By that time moyes might not even be around if we continue the way we are now.

He will mate. I have no worries with that in the slightest.

I believe we have just started to climb out of the lowest we will ever have to see again.

See he didnt play for the ressies on Tues, maybe with an eye on Sun.

Hopefully that is the case but I can't see it. Moyes won't drop one of Cahill, Fellaini or Osman...

I just hope Pienaar is back to be honest, we need some craft back in the side. With Saha injured we are going to need it.

Surely he must change something around, If it was me it would be Ossie, Pienaar was close to be being fit for Mon so should be back, not sure if Saha is defo out or not it was a minor hamstring strain wast it!

Why is it always our good players who get injured, Phil neville will play every game this season.

I'm still not sure he rates Castillo and he certainly doesn't rate him over Ossie, Fellaini or Cahill. They are three of his favourite players.

I think he play 4-4-1-1 so that we have a bit more balance and protection in there.

Saha even if it's a minor injury probably won't be risked because of his past injuries. It's a shame because he looked very good in the first half against Wigan and he is a very creative forward.

Agreed in terms of balance, i am more confident with us playing that formation. Its a matter of the personel, your probab;y right he may not drop those three but he needs to, im going to hold of on my judgement of Cas, untill i see more of him, hes been a bit iffy from what ive seen, but he deserves an oppurtunity at the very least to come on as a sub in a game.

It could well be even if Moyes does go for an alternative he could use Rodders or for that matter even Gosling.

But more then likely wel see Hibbert come in and Super Phil in the centre.

Gosling isn't the answer, he won't make it here. I'd have no problems with either Rodwell or Castillo being in there permanantly until we sign the man we need.

We simply need someone who's willing to stay back and cover the attacking players. At the moment we've got 4 midfielders continually trying to get forward, it doesn't work.

We are wasting Osman at the moment, trying to play him as our deepest midfielder. He's at his best further up the field not infront of his back four.

If Moyes moves Neville into midfield then he needs a slap. The lads doing a decent job at fullback and should play there. No point in moving him to a position he struggles in, the fans will just get on his back again...
