oh so we have the scapegoat.
the lad who runs his heart out every time he pulls on the shirt. when he came back from injury it was obvious that we had been missing his energy and drive, obvious that he takes some of the grind off pienaar and does a lot of work for him, if that has escaped you then he couldn't possibly do anything that would stop you from criticising him.

I am off the view that he should start week in week out with Billy on the bench who we paid 9 million pounds for. Osman has had a few good games but Billy would have brought in some good visionary passing, good hold up play and we could have tried to play him as an out and out winger like he did against city and had a terrific game. Osman small size means that you don't need the strongest of players to dispossess him and that is EXACTLY what happened yesterday. He lost the ball where Mascherano and Lucas were targeting him and then he's not the best of passers either so Billy can bring you much much more that Osman and I'll be gutted if Osman means that Billy is now the squad player when IMO Osman should be the squad player.

The reason I think Osman was a bad choice for the derby yesterday is simple, these matches are meant to be physical and you know you're gona get blown away if you are not careful. Osman likes to do that twisting and turning thing where he tries to hold the ball but that works against lesser teams not in the derby,it's just too physical so why not have Billy in who may not run as much as Osman does to support the full backs but atleast he can do something that can change the game better than Osman and I don't think that local lads should get a free ticket to play the derby either.

We missed Osman when we didn't have many players in midfield but when the squad if fully fit, would you pick Osman over Rodwell/Billy? That was my point if you read my post back there. Osman should not play week in week out.

Should have made that poll multiple choice. All but the refereeing is applicable to that dire match yesterday.

You cant blame refereeing at all...Pienaar should have gone earlier, Fellaini should have been sent off at the same time as the greek lad.

We can have no complaints from the officials, they appeared more biased towards us if anything.

We were [Poor language removed], simples

Can I say what bothered me most was that we were beaten.

Or Kunyt scoring and having his grotesque face running off towards the touch line.

I posted a lack of desire and commitment, and that was favorite amongst voters.

Same as Birmingham, poor play in general, that cost us more dearly that afternoon with regards to the rest of the season, but let's not shy away from the ineptitude of yesterday, it was lame.

Thats two defeats this season to a largely poor or standard Liverpool team and no goals to show for it, still have faith in Moyes but will be interested to see how the European adventure fizzles out.

I dont agree with the lack of desire and commitment angle. It only makes up a small percentage IMO and we showed plenty of desire (a bit too much in fact)....but it would never chance the fact the tactics were wrong and the RS locked and bolted the door to a point that we couldnt create anything.

I selected Moyes' tactics.

When the team are flat & generally not creating opportunities, that's when Moyes needs to change tack. We could all see that we couldn't break them down in attack, so it's up to the Manager to recognise that & either change the formation, or bring on some fresh legs.

IMHO.

Any manager that continually picks Osman over Rodwell or Billy will eventually be sacked.

The worst thing was the Carra and Gerrard won. :@

Hats off to Kuyt, he worked his socks off throughout the game and you could what the goal meant to him. This is what we lacked - with the exception of Cahill.
