What rules would you change for the good of the game?

Player Valuation: £40m
Isn't it time some rules were changed?

Here's my contribution:

Red card in League can mean a player could miss Champions League final?

Shouldn't all competitions be kept seperate regarding cards?

Player plays for one club, but is now cup tied?

Isn't this cup tied lark a bit prehistoric? Players are bought to play football, not sit on the bench because of stupid rules.

Offside rule.

Isn't it time it was scrapped altogether?

Modern technology.

Get it in NOW. If a guy is standing behind the goal, how the heck can he judge if a ball has crossed the line?

Transfer windows.

One only for me. Sign your players, and live with it.

Wage structure.

Introduce a set structure for players wages, with incentives and objectives attatched, meaning the players have to achieve to climb the ladder, such as clean sheets, goals, finals reached etc etc.

Transfer fees.

Introduce a maximum transfer fee, to prevent bigger clubs being able to out bid smaller clubs. This would also go some way in preventing clubs getting into huge debt.

Replays.

Scrap them.
Play untill a goal is scored, regardless of how long it takes, like the golden goal, only with no time limit. Teams don't need cluttered schedules, and fans can't afford it.
Penalties are exciting, but don't always ensure the team who played the best win the games.

Video evidence used to punish cheaters and divers retroactively.

If the ref misses it but the video doesn't:

1) 1st offense - 3 match suspension
2) 2nd offense - 8 match suspension
3) 3rd offense - Suspended for the remainder of the season.

I GUARANTEE that if you implement such a program, players will do their best to stay on their feet, even when they're legitimately fouled.

1, If a player is sent off for violent conduct then if the injured player is out, the player sent off cannot play until that player is fit ie Nolan,
2, if players like Gerrard and seen to dive every game the every ref HAS NO OPTION but to dismiss the cheat.
3,Fergie gets the same amount of injury time no matter what the score.
4, Go back to the old offside rule

Send any player off that tries to influence the referee.

The send off should be done by another official to prevent corrupt refs.

Referees should be substituted when performing badly.

If you fall over on the halfway line you should be made to crawl across the pitch in an anti-clockwise manner until your nose is pointing in the direction of the opposing teams goals. Should stop all that pesky 'Scab fulching' that is creeping into the game.

Agree with the player being sent off for remonstrating with the ref. I love what the ref in Italy did a few weeks back for sending Wesley Snejider off for sarcastically clapping in his face because he disagreed with the call.

You see more sending offs like that and you'll get less of that crap.

Just going through your list here...

A red card in the league means a player can miss a domestic final, but not a champions league final. I'm sure domestic and european bans are separate.

Undecided on the cup tied rule.

Scrapping the offside rule is just silly. Simplifying it is the answer.

Goal line technology I agree with.

I think the transfer windows are fine as they are. I don't think January should be removed. It should exist for emergency loans at the very least.

Can't see anything changing with transfer structure but perhaps a wage structure is more likely.

I think replays should stay in the FA Cup. Without them we may not have reached the final last year. They are important for smaller teams too. If you get a daunting away draw then there is always the chance you could force a replay and beat the bigger team on your own patch. It's only really the bigger teams that complain about the extra fixtures. Personally I was delighted with our hard fought draw at Anfield last season.

No half - time. It's so boring and i'm sick of watching those beauts trying to hit the cross bar.

Players can rest and have a brew after the game.

I like this from Bill, I would also like to introduce 'sin bins' for yellow cards. Two yellows still off, of course but sin bins give an advantage to a team 'sinned against' on the day rather than someone else sometime down the line. Give it say ten minutes standing away from the bench, no communication or treatment during this time.
