manny manny manny!!! oi oi oi, manny, oi, manny, oi, manny manny manny oi oi oi!!

Nope. Castillo isn't good enough at the moment to even consider placing him in.

People don't see but his positonal sense is so poor it leaves us so exposed at the back.

Really?

I'd have to say that I politely disagree.

But hey, Moyes obviously isn't going with him right now and that's what matters so perhaps Moyes shares your opinion.

I have to admit Castillo hasn't been given a long enough run to see what he can bring us. He still is carring a knock from International duty. What games I've seen he looks very tidy in midfield. Scored a s cracker of a goal too. I wouldn't give up on him just yet.

His positioning did look a little off at times, he had a tendency to back off and not close down aswell. But it's far to early to judge him, some players take time to learn new roles and new Leagues.

He definatly has talent. He's useful on the ball and he's physically strong. I'm sure he'll get a chance to impress.

Like Fellaini it's hard for him, he's come into a team that's all over the place. Like Fellaini I'm sure he'd improve given a run of games. I think there's more to come from Segundo, I hope so anyway.

Isn't Castillo on a season long loan? If so could it be that Moyes put him in the team to start with and realised that he wasn't ready so would be better to give him a few months.

But then thought there isn't much point in him getting used to the team and the team getting used to him if he is off back home come summer. Might as well give Rodwell the experience there or try and get by without an out and out DM at all.

He could just be here in emergencies only as an extra body.

Rodwell is more of a defender by trade. Having Castillo around isn't bad at all. He could gain a better appreciation of the league when coming back from the bench and some hard practices.

I don't think we'll be buying anything. We won't need it though, Felanni will have banged in his 15th by Christmas :D

Diarra is good but he's a di$%, when Pompey has their blue light special if we get interested I'd be torn.

If not at least a cheapo vet who could fill in at Carsley's role.

I'd like to see us go after Landon Donovan

he wants to make a move from the Galaxy to give it another go in Europe

in his first spell, it was too immature and not physically ready... I think he is now

Would love to see Diarra and Moutinho added to our midfield ranks

We need a tall target man to aim our high balls and crosses at, Possibly Crouch or Zigic with the pace of Yakubu would be good, or if Bent comes in as mentioned in another thread

I'd say a holding midfielder without a doubt...but I don't think Everton can afford to buy someone on that position who is a certainty and can play the role immediately...

A holding mid and Valencia from Wigan on the rt. wing.

The Lescott of 07-08 to come back to us.

A new pair of bionic feet for cahill.

God no. Unfortunately he's the most talented player that the US has ever produced and at this point in his career he should be in his prime. Every now and then I've seen him do things that make me think that there are not 20 players in the world blessed with more natural talent than Donovan has. The guy has pace, and he can be a playmaker and a goal scorer. I've always thought he has the passing and playmaking ability of Arteta but can score with timely runs in the box like Cahill. Unfortunately the only time you see this ability is against the minnows in CONACAF and against Mexico.

He's also the softest player I've ever seen. Moyes would blow a gasket in about 4 seconds after signing him. If you give him a hard tackle early becomes afraid of the ball. Watch the last world cup, especially the US - Chech Rep match. By the 2nd minute the Chechs came in with a couple hard tackles and he gets frightened and checks out for the whole game (in the WC he checked out for the whole tourney).

I think he doesn't like football. He just plays it because he's very good at it and it pays the bills.
