What other Clubs in the UK or worldwide can we say represent Everton's values?

I know it's topical but West Ham are the Everton of London. Local, family orientated, working class, hard-nosed, ups and downs...but always there for the fans.
I've always had a soft spot for the Hammers, but I think the similarity is a little tenuous.

Everton have a proud history of winning stuff, even if the last couple of decades have been bleak. West Ham have had little success bar a few FA cups in a 15 year period.

West Ham have a long history of travelling between divisions. Everton do not.

Perhaps there is a parallel with the fan base & grass roots support - as you point out.

I know Arsenal have now gone well beyond Everton with silverware, but I used to see some similarity with them.

If anyone says Spurs, they should be banned from the forum.

West Ham don't have our record of firsts. They also have been a bit of a yoyo club and inhabit a state funded stadium not built for football, like a hermit crab. Theyre followers, not trailblaisers. Very London, not very Everton.
