What is your deepest fear?

Sleeping on your back can contribute towards an episode, but I was sleeping face down when it ever happened to me.Now I have to sleep on my side with a pillow either side of me, sounds daft but it seems to work. As you'll no doubt know, the episodes are like your worst nightmare come true,so vivid and real, and not being able to move a muscle or speak / breathe adds to the fear...glad to see the back of it, for now !

Havent had one for around a year, Before that it was about 2 years so they occur few and far between

Getting a sick feeling just thinking about it

I see what you did there.

The most frequent sequence I endured was a figure stood in the doorway of my bedroom, not being able to see it in any form but being aware that it was looking at me as it approached me in the form of a dark shadow and then it pressed down on me until I could hardly breathe. None of it was real of course, but it seemed very real at the time.

I also stopped smoking and kept to a regular sleep pattern,as I was reliably informed that it's more likely to happen during / after sleep deprivation or insomnia / stress.

HO LY ****.

Haha, you deffo don't want this stuff to happen to you mate.It was so bad that I genuinely believed that my house was haunted for a while. The weird thing is that there are some people who are so intrigued by sleep paralysis that they try to induce it just to experience the fear..bollocks to that !
