Anyone ever heard of the writer or publication/website before?

No, thought not. So why give the slightest of sh*ts?

I dont know or care who wrote that, but there was a lot of direct hits and home truths in it.

"But we all know that the spanking that Wigan handed this team in the FA Cup Quarter Final a few weeks ago is what really defines them. The talent and desire to beat the top teams is sometimes accidentally uncovered, but then is hurriedly concealed when a game actually matters, as if they are worried what might happen were they to actually win something."

Ouch!!!

some points are valid but spoilt them by writing them in and around a load of rubbish. some of his points are realistic but the "Pro Moyes" crowd will utterly disagree and that's the stage the fan base is at.

Half the fans want change and are deemed Moyes haters, half the fans are happy to plod along and are deemed as not caring.

I think ultimately everyone wants best for the club to move forward. Pity nobody seems to know how best to achieve this.

Unfortunately he is right with that, however, the rest of the article is utter drivel. The title alone is an insult to Everton Football Club.

That doesn't surprise me. Nice to see you back anyway. Perhaps you can be civil this time?

I was perfectly civil all along. I can't help it if people completely miss the point.

Like some people seem to have done with that article. Football is meant to be entertaining.(y)

Not a bad article, really. He labours the analogy about Moyes and missionary sex but it isn't badly written. I don't expect that we have been very interesting to the neutral since Villarreal, excepting the opening 21 minutes of the 2009 FA Cup final.

We were everyone's second team for about a month at the start of this season though. Everton in the top 4 had a lot of memetic resonance for some reason. I think a lot of people enjoyed proclaiming that they had always known we'd challenge this season, that they had always thought that Fellaini/Jelavic/Pienaar/Osman was a player.

Now that we've regressed into the same half-season team we've been for years the neutral feels cheated. We've been a bit of a pricktease for them this season.

What is wrong with that? He's nailed it. It is probably Steve Round getting it all off his chest. We are currently a middling Premier league team making up the numbers in an average Premier league. We have no coherent strategy to genuinely shake it up at the top and by and large we avoid clear of grief at the arse end of the league.
