The thing is there is only 3 trophies available for clubs outside europe, there's 7 european places.

The former is our primary aim, but most clubs fail at that most years. Europe is a useful metric as it brings tangible benefits without being quite as hard to do as winning a trophy, so it lets you know you're making progress, there or there about.

I still think that for a manager to be a success here, he needs a trophy or he's failed, but within an individual season european football is a prize worth winning.

CL qualification or league title because I've thought for at least 4 of the last 5 years we could make a Euro spot so, for me, that's the break point. A cup is nice but it doesn't tell the whole tale of your squad/club...Wigan being the perfect example.

FA cup for me. I would love CL qualification and it would bring a lot of financial benefits but a trophy in the cabinet is success.

A cup win, I don't see finishing 4th or 5th as success. Trophies are what matters, people remember who wins the FA Cup, no one remembers who finished 4/5th

I voted for UEFA as it would be seen as a success in Roberto's first year, but really its Champs league and getting in on that cash cow

It's a poll.

On GOT.

With no cheese on toast option.

I know yesterday was bad but let's not let standards slip. ( voted FA cup in absence of le Fromage toastie)

Aside from the teams with money who always bloody win things here are the FA Cup Winners in the last 20 years: Wigan, Portsmouth, Everton.

You'd be better off suggesting winning a Cup is a curse for a non-monied club. ;) Those teams are mostly a shambles (and I include ourselves in the 90's in the shambles group). Now I am not for a second suggesting there is an actual relationship here ... but that is not a list of clubs one would call successful outside of an argument where you're trying to prove a point about how valuable Cups are.

Again ... not saying we wouldn't enjoy a one-off Cup more ... but it won't make anyone think we're a success in the long run (including ourselves) ... and it won't help us succeed in the future.

Give me a choice for what would make me happiest: maybe the Cup. Give me a choice for what will help this club become a true success (rather than a one-hit wonder): it's the CL every time.
