What if Liverpool won the title?

I hope so mate.

To me though it looks like a runaway train atm. I was shocked today at how lame Chelsea were (and they could and should have been beaten out of sight by Palace), and by how City failed to press on from the HT advantage they had...at this time of year that's what a champion team does. Pellegrini doesn't look capable of stepping up. He never has anywhere in fact.

The momentums with them obviously. One defeat or a crappy draw would halt that completely and I don't think they'd be guaranteed to bounce straight back

Liverpool were top of the league at Christmas and managed to bottle game's at Chelsea and city having taken the lead.

I wouldn't bet against Alex Ferguson coming out with some mind games as well as jose.

Also if Gerrard gets a yellow tomorrow that puts him on a two game ban including the city game. Him being out swings the game in city's favour

Looking back I think their Fulham away game first suggested to me this lot might have the right stuff to fight it out successfully, rather than be the usual bunch of bottlers they've cobbled together for 25 years in this competition.

It is footy though and could all change as you say. But just on present form and feel of things this looks like an uncomfortable period hoving into view for us, because they look champions to be and it'll affect our club massively.

I cant see SAF doing that. He'd want City off Moyes' back more than Liverpool, IMO.

TBH Dave, i'm talking more in hope than expectation.

I'm just clinging on to any positive I can think off.

It's getting desperate !!

TBF, when all is said and done it IS still wide open.

We shall see...starting tomorrow.

Liverpool have to close this title challenge out...and that is not easy to do.

Over to you, Kopites.

Honestly lads, 20 pages? Ffs settle down.

Don't know what to make of this. Feel a bit embarrassed for adding to the 20 pages

Aye, when you go back 20 pages on the (only) Everton-themed thread on RAWK, you get to March 13th.

Seems we talk about them a hell of a lot more than they talk about us...embarrassing is putting it kindly.

Nah, you have a fair argument...more than fair.

It is the case that Liverpool have now gone into being favourite with all but the brain dead and a few bookies. But they still have a clutch of matches where they are playing class teams twice and will need to bury both of them to be sure of nailing this title.

There is hope left for us...a lot of it, in fact. It's just that it could and should have been a whole lot better than this tonight if Chelsea and City had done their jobs.

Bit of a weird overreaction on here tonight. Cittee have just taken 4 points from their away trips to United and Arsenal. The [Poor language removed] never got a point at Arsenal. To say that somehow Cittee are that far behind what they were this morning is ridiculous. The [Poor language removed] HAVE to beat Cittee at home to overtake them.

Yep. Agreed.

I'm just seething that they couldn't hang onto that lead because if they had they'd have been clear favourites for me. But as you say, 4 points away from home at the Manchester Derby and Arsenal isn't too shabby at all.

I think Liverpool are favourites but it hasn't reached anywhere near vein opening time.

City still favourites for me.

Liverpool have to win 14 league games on the trot, really and that's beyond them, imo. One of chelsea or city will do them at anfield.

I dont think so. They have 7 games left and if they win 6 they'll be champions. If they lose to one of their title challengers though and draw with any other team they could be right up against it.
