What if Liverpool won the title?

A little disclaimer first.

I'm a Liverpool fan. Not going to hide that.

And, honestly, i can't stand Chelsea. Been grinding out results all season. Hardly ever played well. Defence has been rock solid though.

City are the best team in the league. But they are bloody inconsistent. FFS. Beating Norwich 7-0 at home to draw to Norwich 0-0 away? What a load of [Poor language removed].

I'd honestly like to know, if Liverpool won the title, would Everton fans actually be happier with us winning it, rather than Chelsea or maybe Arsenal to win it?

Yeah we're local rivals, but meh, we are still part of the city of Liverpool. Better for our city to win it than others eh?

We still play Spurs, City and Chelsea at home.

I'd say our home form is excellent. We thwacked Arsenal 5-1 and we obviously then beat you 4-0 there. We technically demolish teams for fun there. Spurs probably will come to get a beating, and if City are going to play like the way they did against Wigan, we'll beat them too.
Chelsea? The annoying Jose will try his best to prevent a defeat for his team, because he knows that if we don't beat them, he'll probably win the title.

I would be very disappointed that what is essentially a second rate team has won the league. Having said that the supposed first rate teams have been dropping idiotic points as you point out.

In short, I think you have a gash team that has been lucky with injuries and can consistently score for fun on the break. Your system is being found out and unless Brenda thinks up some new tactics you'll be getting monstered every match in the CL.

I won't disagree with you that our defence is pretty much second-rate.

And our midfield isn't exactly great either.
But there's something about the midfield, that makes it click with our fantastic front two up front.

I don't think you can say we have a gash team. I'd say our team is definetly good enough to finish in the top 4, but challenging for the title as yet, is still rather too early.
Lucky with injuries? I'd really beg to differ. We had our entire first choice defence out for two months.

After November or so, we never had a chance to really play a full-strength team, untill maybe next week when Lucas and Sakho is back.

Enrique has been out for close to 4 months or maybe even more now.
Johnson has been in and out.
Agger has been injured here and there too.
Even Sakho, who i think is our best centreback this season, hasn't really played that much.

Gerrard was out for a few weeks after the Spurs game. He missed the Chelsea and City game. Huge loss. And yet you could argue that we could have, or should i say, should have ought to have gotten a point against both , better teams as you'd call it.

Our system is being found out? Sorry mate. But you are starting to get a little bitter here.

I'll be upfront then.

I'm not a Scouser. Not even English.
Asian.

Tbh, Everton fans are as hard to find in my country as it'd be digging for gold in Liverpool. Practically none.
Fans here are mostly of United. Then Liverpool, Chelsea/Arsenal.

I once read a post on here, that back in the days, when Liverpool won their first European cup it seems?
Everton fans were at the parade too, celebrating the truimph of Liverpool, as a city of the European cup.

I'm genuinely curious to know if Everton fans would be glad that at least, if they had to, their city would be winning the league title, rather than say City/Chelsea who are just challenging for the title, because of extravagance from their billionaire owners.

I'll be celebrating with great vigour when Jose lifts the trophy.

First of all sound for admitting you're a red.

Secondly where are you from?

Lastly how many blues do you know and what is the general consensus amongst them?

You're from Bootle aren't you Chico, mate?

Sorry mate. You seem to be a good sort. And your team has developed a rather scary knack for seemingly scoring goals at will and making the rest of us look like schoolboys. Which is impressive considering there are at least 4 squads that look better and stronger than yours on paper.

But no. Not ever. The only title I'll ever be happy to see you win is the Championship.

There'd be no joy or even 'respect' from me as they are our rivals and we hate them. That is football. But football is also just a game so barring a few days of avoiding tv and papers I'd get over it.
