I will be broken if we go down, but it's preferable to delaying the inevitable and giving these players more chances and new contracts. I don't want them representing my club and taking millions every year for the pleasure while normal people are struggling to pay for heating bills.

The stadium is the big elephant in the room though. We are probably in too far to pull out now, but we absolutely do not need stadium costs and debt when we are a championship club. If there is any way out of it, then we need to shelve it. Goodison is the only good thing left at this club and this regime are taking it away from us.

The minute our focus became a stadium and not football, this day was always coming. New stadiums don't win football matches - in fact they usually lead to regression. People got sucked in by the hysteria, but leaving Goodison was a terrible decision and I won't forgive them.
We need the ground, it’s the only thing that will make us compete in the future. Goodison is on its knees.

We will be forever a yo yo club imo if that’s not built.

I see the new stadium as a stumbling block to on field success. Look at Arsenal since they moved. Look at Sunderland in league 1 with that stadium.

New stadiums are not important. Winning football matches is what matters. We took our eye off the ball.

Never want to see a manager sacked early stage but we'll be in big trouble if we lose Saturday.

I also find it ironic that the same suspects who were gagging for Benitez to go after 8 games sat in 11th and were lauding Spurs for acting "decisively" in booting Nuno early doors are all of a sudden championing giving a manager time to "build there own team" you couldn't make it up! lol
Vice versa. Benitez cultists wanting lampard gone 8 games in. Funny that.

Only the Benitez cultists want him gone

Fahcts
Utter balls that. I didn‘t agree with us appointing Benitez, we needed the fan base behind a new manager for tough times, not divided. His appointment was a disaster from day one and in many ways is why we are where we are now.

Lampard was never going to be equipped for a relegation battle, he’s inexperienced. At another time he could have been a perfect manager for us, we are simply too toxic for him and he already looks ten years older. He’s floundering and it isn’t a surprise.

I would have sacked him midweek, but I can see why they‘re waiting until the weekend, he has one last chance and if we fail him then he’s gone and we should have an experienced temporary hard headed manager at the ready. Two weeks to work with this bunch of ‘players’ and try to make us a little less easy to beat. Who that manager is isn’t for me to say, we might all have opinions on who could do a job with limited time in a dire situation. Desperate times call for desperate measures, relegation could finish us. I’d rather see us build from within the premiership, not struggle in the lower divisions for years maybe decades.

Moshiri has knee jerked a lot, I can’t see him sitting there after a defeat to the mancs and not sacking Lampard. He shouldn’t have been appointed in the first place but that goes back to the long line of mistakes that have beleaguered this club since he arrived.

Not having the Arsenal one, 20
Yrs ago doing doubles because of a brilliant manager. Spending less than the Utd and Liverpool. Now city and Chelsea have come along as well to blow them out the water financially.

And you’re talking like Sunderland had spent 20yrs in the top flight challenging for trophies before the new stadium. I’d like a bet that the last 20yrs of Roker park they spent the majority in the championship. Haven’t won a trophy for 50yrs

I would have sacked him after wed debacle but he must go if we lose on Sat, we didn't need a miracle when he joined but we do now. He has shown that he is totally out of his depth, his tactics away from home have been shocking, His lack of changes recently have been baffling especially on wed when we desperately needed fresh legs.
Why on earth would we keep him

Probably because we're on the verge of relegation ultimately.

Benitez still had 20+ games to turn things around - If we lose saturday we could be in the bottom 3 with only 8 games left which includes Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal & Leicester (2) 3 of those being away ties.

We wont stay up if Lampard can't dig out results look at Wigan under Martinez. We've shipped 9 goals in 3 games to Burnley, Crystal Palace and West Ham and cant score from open play.

I don't want to see another manager sacked but I think the board will be accepting relegashun if they don't do one last roll of the dice and hope for a new manager bounce ala Leeds/someone who can tighten us up.

Should be. If we lose we can forget any other points this season. If we lose then we need one final roll of the dice. I know they won't have done this, but I'd expect them to have sounded out somebody already who is ready to come in on a heavily bonus driven contract. Preferably somebody from abroad who has never heard of Michael Keane and Jonjoe Kenny and won't be fooled by them.

So what fresh legs you putting on? And hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I guarantee if Dunc was the caretaker manager now and these players were making the same errors. It would all be on the players, Dunc definitely wouldn’t be getting the stick frank Is

Who's the alternative though?
