What happened to the Wallace money?

So apparently he was sold to Tranmere and we have nothing to show for it? Surely the funds we got from his sale could have given us something to work with and it could have helped us avoid selling Rodwell.
so I relatively new poster asks the question above and he gets the following replies.

mate this is a benched warning

How much money do you think Tranmere had to spend?

We sold him for £23 mate, don't let it get to you.

*waits for inevitable Cena baiting

Wheres the Wallace Money, Bill ?

We sold him for money?

Where's the Wallace money Bill?
Where's the Rodwell money Bill?
Where's the Pukka Pie money Bill?
Where's Michael Barrymores pool party money Bill?

It's a perfectly reasonable inquiry. That it unfortunately happens to sound similar to an overused running joke is no excuse for you all to be bells.

No wait, he's suggesting selling Wallace should have meant we wouldn't sell Rodwell, as if Tranmere would pay similar money to Man City. Bell away, everyone, bell away.

i thought the amount we got for him was only just enough to cover his taxi fair (without tip) from FF to Prenton Park

Does anyone know how much we got for Wallace?
grand old team asks the same question and gets the below replies.

Minimal fee with a big sell on clause

We probably got 250k or something

If it was anything over £50,000 I'll be hugely surprised.

My point new poster gets stupid answer Danny gets some sensible answer. It's a sheer case of victimisation. Don't be scared of authority boys, Danny is human, he bleeds, give it to him to lol

You're talking in the sub £250,000 range, probably with a clause such a 10% of future sale should Tranmere sell him on.

The only reason we got a fee for Forshaw and Wallace (and for Baxter whoever he moves to) is because they're under 24 and they've turned down our contract offer, otherwise they'd walk for £0

Where's the money, Wallace?

This is what Wiki says:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Wallace_(footballer)

Tranmere Rovers
At the end of the season, Wallace was linked with clubs in Championship and League One to sign him but snub the club in favor of joining Tranmere Rovers, who managed to win the race and signed him on a permanent basis for £13million, which beggars the question where is the Wallace money Bill?.[31] His move delighted manager Ronnie Moore and said: "I'm delighted that James will be returning to the club as we were really keen to sign him. He was fantastic for us last season and played a big part in our climb up the table, He's got bags of energy, tackles well, can pick out a pass and has goals in him too. He's turned down some big clubs to come to us which shows how much he enjoyed it here last season. It's a big signing for the club and I think we've got a very good player on our hands. He's a leader, a talker and he'll make an excellent captain for the club."[31]

ffs, the club bought loads of tins of blue paint to spruce up the old lady before the season starts. Wickes had a bogof on the dulux (other paints are available) so Bill went a bit mad. Didn't quite stretch to brushes so expect higher 'other operating costs' this season.

Now can somebody PLEASE close/burn/get goat to sit on, this thread.
