What do people want from Martinez's post-match talks?

Sort of. I'd like honest positivity if there's some to be had, but above all I just want honesty.

I'm sick of the Everton manager being a complete liar. He's not even putting a positive spin on things; he's just lying.
Fair does

I don't listen to Martinez at all these days. He gets a chance to do his talking by the way we play. At the moment, that way is as crappy as his comments.

Definitely not to make fools out of the fans.

If he doesn't want to be negative and criticise the team that is fine. But constant pretending that nothing wrong has happend and main aftermatch thought being something like "we played well but didnt get the result" is stupid

Positivity is ALWAYS the best way to go, but it needs to be to a certain extent. Like against Hull, if you polish dog poo, it's still dog poo, that was a load of rubbish. He needs to get the balance right between positivity and veer away from sounding deluded. Today I think he got his post match comments right, blasted the defending without name calling.

The 360 turn by many on his positivity in just a few months from loving it to hating it is absolutely hysterical.

The best bit is we all knew this is what we were getting with Roberto and still people are fuming and acting surprised.
Positivity flying in the face of facts means people are allowed to modify their opinion though surely?

Did we not all know that this was going to happen at some point? We were going to hit a bad run of form and he was going to be positive. It was a good thing. We were happy Moyes and his negativity was gone weren't we? We all said we had to stick by him and his positivity when things hit the rocks for a bit. What happened to that?

What's he going to do, systematically slate the people who could make or break his position, do me a favour. I have to admit though, he's trying to please to many people and he's got think more about who he is playing. And where.

Tbh I don't pay much attention to what he has to say, it's as predictable and as boring as you'll get from any manager in the league. All that matters are results on the pitch.

Predictable and boring just like our football, pity he can't see this.

'I think its phenomenal to say I'm quitting therefor allowing Everton not to pay any compensation, the money of which can be saved against Gareth Barry' wages. In a bit.'

Its a compulsory media activity. I don't expect anything of value to be said. And he was accurate as far as he went.

It could be worse, like Bill Belichick, legendary press conference stonewaller.

"We're on to Stoke City"

Maybe he could send GJ out once in a while, or perhaps after a shocker, and give the impression that he is not happy. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room however, I really would love to know what he is saying to the players.

I think of we play rubbish Martinez will need to publicly say this straight out

Get annoyed with himself and the players

Publicly.

That will share the pain of the fans.

We were rubbish yesterday. Lets not beat around the bush.
