What Did You Last Eat Thread

Just been to the Cricketer's Arms in Littlewick Green. Had homemade steak and kidney pie with chips and peas. Pint and a half of bitter and some ice cream to follow. don't think I need much else today.
Littlewick Green is where Freddie Starr used to live and where he flagged down a guy driving outside his house and asked him for a push. When the guy got into the garden he found Freddie Starr sitting on a swing.

Our garden produced a three-assed tomato. We ate it with fresh mozzarella and basil on grilled ciabatta slices. I do not exaggerate when I say it was surely the best tomato I've ever eaten. I feel honored and humbled as well as a touch of apprehension as I wonder where I can possibly go from here.

there is something mildly erotic about the way it's being cradled so lovingly.

due to being out voted & despite my objections being on the pure principle of going there we went to a 'spoons last night for tea.

That Empire State Burger takes some chewing, 'kin 'ell I nearly didnt have the Fudge Cake & Ice Cream dessert.

Haven’t had this for years, a real hearty filling soup that defies the taste buds.
In fact I just said to the wife can she get some smoked haddock, not the dyed stuff, and I’ll make it.
That with crusty bread, heavenly
That was the best I've had tbh.
I'd buy it myself.
A good bit of fish in it.
I find using the microwave can ruin that soup but no it was spot on.
The trick seemed to be leave the fish in larger cuts when cooking then break it up in the bowl after reheating.
Bloody starving now.
