What Did You Last Eat Thread

In a fit of premature festivity, I treated myself to a full Christmas dinner well ahead of its appointed season. At the time, it felt wonderfully indulgent - a private banquet heralding December’s charm before the month had properly begun.

Yet today, the aftermath has made itself known with remarkable insistence. The sprouts, in particular, have declared their own form of rebellion, filling the air with a certain atmospheric complexity. And now, with all the urgency of a carol sung off-key, I find myself compelled to depart and, shall we say, produce a Yule log of my own.

A gentle lesson presents itself: one may summon Christmas early, but Christmas may answer in ways both unexpected and profoundly aromatic.

I sauteed brocoli, cauliflower, onion, garlic in sesame oil, then added in some soy sauce, egg, and kimchi. Then I made some sweet-n-sour sauce, which was way easier than I expected. I mixed the sauce and veggies in a bowl and it turned out way better than I expected. I'm gonna award myself a gold star.
I had corned beef hash ; I'm a 15th century peasant.
