What Did You Last Eat Thread

It's one of them weird ones where I've never really thought about it!
When you make it yourself you get think clumps of meat, not the miniscule amount you get from canned varieties. You also get a large amount which you can freeze. It works out cheaper, and tastes nicer, with not much effort.

I don't think I've ever even heard or seen anyone order 'ox tail' in a butchers..

Used to like it out the tin but never really thought about what it actually was!

How much is your average ox tail?!!

I bought it in Sainsbury's, reduced in price, five pieces for about four quid. You could probably get in it in a decent butcher's, St.John's Market for example.
 
Mozzarella sticks dipped in ranch.

While I know marinara is the norm for a dipping sauce, there was a pub that I lived a block away from in Portland, Oregon that served them with ranch.

I mean I don't even like ranch dressing on a salad. Give me balsamic vinaigrette or blue cheese.

But there is some sort of flavor wizardry going on with a mozz stick and ranch. It's amazing.
