so many problems solved by one simple promulgation........win something.

Aye, but there's the rub (aka the chicken/egg scenario)

Make no mistake though, we are on the march.

Everton Football Club is seriously on the cusp of something seriously wonderful.
what have Spurs done then? Besides being 'blessed' with being in London?

you half answered your own question (London): as concerns the second half, Everton has to 'succeed harder'...and I believe we are on the cusp of doing just that

That's just a poor excuse though " London "

Newcastle wipe the floor with us commercially. This aspect we are awful. I have a family member who done a commercial deal with Everton and a yoyo club. Same deal, and we got paid less because we accepted it straight away.

1. Build a Brand that is Everton FC
How could this be achieved basically by winning some trophies and attracting known players who also have the quality to play for EFC. Eto is a start. But its not easy to say we need to start winning. Investment is needed to start building upon our brand.
2. We need a new modern day stadium.
New stadium , more seating , more revenue. simple as that

...well, at maximum (re Spurs), it's only half the answer...which is what I said

'Improved commercial aspect'

-New ground.
-Name it something retarded for some corporation.
-Have masses of corporate facilities in said new stadium that'll be bought up but only used 7 or 8 times (fully) per season.

Job done, last elements of the football club that actually made it so washed away and the prawn sandwiches win again. Goal!

Nothing.

Just benefited massively from the massive property bubble. Like Arsenal.

Meant they could charge ridiculous ticket prices and sell their existing ground land to finsnce a new stadium and charge more ridiculous ticket prices.

Everton USA now have an agreement to sell goods... although I haven't yet seen where to buy them

One of the guys on Everton USA Facebook was posting about that again... actually linked this thread in the discussion. I guess by Turkey Day, though apparently not the kits.

While the post about "Returns" from the club shows their own lack of vision, nice to see people here picking put the torch and running with it.

Also swell of the club to let Yankee volunteers do the gruntwork for them.

(oh, and the shirt i linked, it stated small only... )

Being in dat London is a big help.

Winning the Double in the early sixties just as televised football was getting into its stride also helped this terminally under achieving football club gain a foothold in the public eye as a watchword for glamour.

Even in the late 80s they were lumped in with Everton, Liverpool, United and Arsenal and included in the "Big Five" despite only ever winning the title a couple of times.....and they have never won it since '61.

If that bugger Whiteside hadn't scored at Wembley and we had gone on to win a treble that year our commercial prospects would gave risen exponentially.

Then again, the way we gave been mismanaged for the past generation maybe not :(
