Fudge cake and cream, the best munchy food money can buy and for afters? More lovely green stuff.

there is chocolate cake in the fridge and also cream. now i'll have to get some.
the mrs has been trying to improve them as they have to be egg free, an ingredient she's been using to get it stodgier apparently is sour cream. i haven't a clue what she uses as opposed to normal ingredients but she uses things like vinegar as an egg substitute, you can never taste it, it just goes in the mix to do whatever it is that egg does.

Not me, not at night anyways.

I'm waiting patiently for the US players to get home from work before taking their money.

Sleep is for losers anyway.

I might have a few hours about lunch time.

I couldn't wait til later for my Parkin cake.

Big pot of fresh brewed coffee and a lovely gingery cake.

Superb.

Snap, I'm just nibbling a a small piece of Jamaican Ginger cake, small because of its sugar content but it remains a beautiful cake

Oatcakes (the proper crumpet type ones) with poached eggs.

Followed by Rippon Spice cake with cheese and coffee.

Midlanders meal that, pikelets are better................I prefer any type of fruit cake (except Chico) or toasted butter fruit tea cake with a slice of strong Cheddar

I used to live in Staffs. Love oatcakes and Wrights pies.

Pikelets are the lady version of oatcakes, just a bit smaller and a bit fatter like.

I brought a recipe for oatcakes back with me (a blatant lie as I was about 5 at the time, I stole it from my mum).

They serve them with a fried breakfast in Stoke. In fact, it makes a brilliant edible plate (as well as obv) for a breakfast, soaks up all the lovely yolk and bacon fat. mmmmmmm.

Apparently the idea for oatcakes came from people returning from the Raj and raving about the amazing breads over there. They tried to recreate the chapatis with local ingredients and a new wonder was born.

The Hairy Ponces did them on their recent UK tour, there is a recipe on the BBC web site(y)

2 rounds of toast with grated cheese, Mayo, and Chutney,
A slice of pineapple.
A swig of pure orange.
A slice or 2 of maple ham.
2 slices of Kiplings Bakewell tart.
Cup of tea. (y)
