I haven't really got past the menus yet, but as a piece of kit, it's incredibly well made.

It's full to the brim with tech too, which gives me a proper nerd-boner.

Nice my lads just gone to pick his up i think can't really see that 3d gaming will take off fully and as ever a console is only as good as it's games but time will tell.

To be honest I didn't get it for the 3D.

I'm a big fan of Nintendo's handhelds, and I always have been. The big increase in graphical quality, the better online functionality, the awesome built in software, the communicative tech (streetpass) and the promise of a future ds shop to get old gameboy games was enough to sway me. Not to mention the future titles coming out; Metal Gear, Paper Mario, a 3d platformer mario and so on.

Testing the 3D I can say it works, although my crap eyesight definitely impacts the experience. Some games might use it well, whilst for most I'd imagine it to be a gimmick. However already reviewers are saying that, in Pilotwings for example, it makes a big difference; i.e. being able to judge distances better.

It looks good for the future anyway.
