Filth was awful, like he was parodying himself or something. Glue was very good, probably his best after Trainspotting

I'm reading a trilogy from Guillelmo Del Torro, Im on the last book now called the Night Eternal. It's a vampire story but not a crap one like twilight. It's about the end of the world. The first 2 books are called The Strain and The Fall. I guarantee it's going to become a movie trilogy. I can tell by the way he wrote it he's made it so he can make a movie out of it. For anyone interested it follows a Nazi POW who comes across a vampire who stalks the death camps and how he spends his life hunting him down. It's an excellent read if you like a little horror. I bought the final boom yesterday but I won't start it untill next week.

Life Of Pi by Yann Martel is a book I've read recently though and heartily recommend !

Yes same bloke - when he puts the "M" in his name it's a sci-fi book

fantastic thread.read the time travelers wife last christmas,very underrated book.john connolly has a new book out now- wrath of angels. fantastic author.anyone who likes horror should check out brian keene.
