Nah, The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses knocks the spots off it (imo)

I adore (pun intended) the singles from that album but I find the psychedelic stuff well wanky. The gap between Waterfall and Made of Stone in particular. As a one-two punch to finish an album though. I Am The Resurrection and Fools Gold is right up there.Nah, The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses knocks the spots off it (imo)

And also there is the fact that Ian Brown exists. And he's somehow more of a plum than both Gallagher brothers combined.
The band behind him though *chefs kiss*
When they split, even though I liked Squire's guitar work on the Seahorses LP, Brown's solo work was always closer in spirit and ambition to the Roses I thought, really liked his first 3 albums.Fool's Gold isn't on The Stone Roses.
It appears as a bonus track on some later editions because it was their "big" single.
Aye, shame Ian Brown is such an embarrasment these days though.
Agree 100% I liked Ian's early solo stuff too and have seen him solo more than once, but thought The Seahorses were absolutely turgid. I saw one of their first shows and can rarely remember leaving a gig so disappointed. When they split, even though I liked Squire's guitar work on the Seahorses LP, Brown's solo work was always closer in spirit and ambition to the Roses I thought, really liked his first 3 albums.
They are seriously prolific, I'm still getting into 9. Seems like its largely instrumental this one. Cheers for the heads up.A new Sault album @ste d' indica
Not a massive fan, I get the point but it just confirms to me that I need some bass or reverb in music
