(2) English somewhat (1)Type O Negative inspired Doom metal with a 70s vibe to it. The entire album is amazing.

(1) Not hearing it at all, maybe they said that in an interview. That's pure sludge/stoner at heart; Bongripper, Earth, Sunn O))), The Body etc. I hear more in common with The Sword if you want to add the vocals.

(2) In short, Hail Sabbath.

The intro is straight out of the Type O sound in my book. The doomy guitars can also be put in the viscinity of their sound, though OHT lacks the keyboards and are of course much heavier. The vocals are of course not in the same category as Peter Steele at all.

The guys in the band are huge Type O fans indeed, and perhaps even bigger Sabbath worshippers. The colored LP I bought from their bandcamp a year or so ago is even described as "Sabbath splatter"

We'll ignore that it's all just a giant clusterf*ck of words, up to interpretation (like all art) and that it's just metal to non-metalheads. Because of that it's obviously scary, the realm of satanist murderers and the listeners will be forever judged.

In short, again, it's all Sabbath's fault (not Zeppelin's, unless you want to start a war again).
