Guns'N'Roses - Chinese Democracy.

Axl Rose and a constantly revolving cast of musicians and producers make this a GnR album in name only. Released in 2008 but sounds like it could soundtrack a late 90s David Fincher film. Absolutely not the hot mess it's sometimes made out to be and though there's a duff moment or two and brevity is not it's strong point it's excellent in parts.

Certainly doesn't deserve the negativity heaped on it.

I think it's one of those albums that because of the wait and mystique it would never live up to expectations, similar to what would happen if Dre Dre released Detox.

This was the first Guns N Roses release after i became a fan. Some very good songs like Chinese Democracy, There Was A Time, Better etc. Solid enough album, not great but not bad.
