Another metalhead enters the fray... (y)

That's the one, mate - you know what they say: denim and leather, goes down together. I Love metal right since 1974 my babysitters blasted my tiny eardrums with Black Sabbath. My mother is a huge Status Quo fan and apparently that is all she listened to while I was hatching in the womb. I must post a pic of me as a baby, I was born with a full head of hair, longish curls - I **** you not. There has to be something in that. Basically I've been a head banger since I was born, the Black Sabbath thingy just tipped me over the edge. I wouldn't feck off to bed until they played a full Zep album for me. The 70's were magic growing up for music. In 1979, I desperatly wanted the Stained Class album by Judas Priest. Christ, I dreamt of owning that album. So, in primary school, age ten, I used to get 50p lunch money a day for the school canteen. I went two full weeks stashing my 50p's behind the old shutters (it was a very old school) in the toilets, while I watched my mates stuff their faces at lunch. Now, to a kid, food is everything, and man did I suffer. But I got there, I had my £4.50 saved, and I marched down to Golden Discs in Dun Laoghaire all excited and bought the record. I still have it to this day.

Another story: a mate of mine who is a bit older than me was out on the road kicking a football around, he was about 13 or 14 at the time - he's bored stiff, when this car pulls up (its 1977), its his mate's older brother who says: "I've a spare ticket to see AC/DC tonight, you want to come?" Is the pope Catholic, do bears defacate in the woods? [Poor language removed] gets to see Bon Scott on the Powerage tour. Lift in and back - everything. How poxed is that??????????

I had to wait till 1982 to see AC/DC, and that was minus Bon. Though Beano was amazeing. They are my favourite band.

AC/DC/ Angel Witch
Judas Priest/Slayer/Motorhead/Saxon
Sepultra/Kreator/Destruction/Annihalator/Eville (good Brit thrashers)
Iron Maiden (with Dianno - I hate Bruce; not hate him, just don't like Maiden with him, I met him and he's well sound)

Non metal: Doors, Stones, Who, Floyd, Beetles, Sweet, Bowie (old stuff) Elton John (old stuff), JJ Cale, Mike Oldfield (genius), the list is endless.

I love all rock and blues and classical and jazz as well. real music in other words - none of this Xfactor bollocks.

You're a Bulgarian, man - nice one. So you got to see AC/DC and the big 4 in the same year? You lucky sod. What's the local tipple (beer) like over there? A lot of people from this country go over there on holidays so I'm guessing you get a thing called a summer. We used to get one in Ireland, but that was a long time back. I'm looking out the window at the moment and its pissing rain. I could count the amount of sunny days we've had on one finger; and I bet you can count on one hand the amount of rainy days you've had. Post your list of favourite metal bands, mate.

Great song with a great video to match. Don't normally do videos but this is entertaining. Watch out for the 'Purple Haze' inspired solo at the end too.

I've spent the past month debating with myself which of The Libertines' albums is the best.

I think I finally decided on their debut. It wasn't easy but "Death on the Stairs", "Up the Bracket" and "What a Waster" are so good I want to kiss Doherty on the penis.

*predictably BLF turns up*

That is 100% the correct decision. I deliberated this for some time before coming to this conclusion myself. To this day I still look through the track lists on each album and think about it.

Death on the Stairs is possibly my favourite of their songs as well. The Good Old Days is also a fantastic song and Begging is a great song, besides the ones you mentioned.

I also have a big soft spot for Radio America. It's just a lovely song, and the reference to New Brighton is nice, I don't know where it came from really but I used to have great fun downing 3 litres of White Lightening near the promenade at the tender age of 15. It also seems quite fitting of Doherty.

Its a Sunday, love a bit Donna to put a smile on the boat; listen to this without tapping your foot - impossible.

An absolutely sensational remix of Daughters' Love by Synkro. Hands down my favourite 2-Step/Dubstep producer, the guy is phenomenal. I can't get enough of this song. It's just beautiful with a deep haunting sound, and the vocals are gorgeous.

Oh yeah look how many YouTube views it's had, 118. God I'm so f*cking cool.
