in a sense they are the forgotten group of the 80's, Into The Gap is a good album but they never strongly appealed to me, cheers for that Sue, now that you have brought them to my attention I just might revisit some of their material
Yes this was the only album what did it for me, he had a decent strong voice
Saw them about 15 years ago. They were great fun.

When the original Human League split, two of them formed a group called the British Electric foundation, and sold the name Human League to Phil Oakey for 1% of future earnings, which ended up being very lucrative for them. In the meantime they released an album called 'Music of Quality and Distinction' where they got their favourite singers to sing their favourite songs.
They got Glen Gregory to sing Wichita lineman, and went on to form Heaven 17 with him as the lead singer.
They also got Tina Turner, whose career had virtually disappeared to sing 'Help' on the album, and when it was released as a single, it got into the top 10 and completely turned her career around.
One of my favourite albums at the time.
