Call me old but, if this is the way metal vocals are going now, you can count me out...not a fan, at all.

I don't know a much about metal, but I think that vocal style fits into a particular metal genre - there are many apparently - death metal, black metal, doom metal, thrash metal. I have heard these names but I can't tell them apart, they probably all sound the same to me.

Admittedly, I don't pay much attention to vocals, or so I thought. But I've discovered the music doesn't bother me here as much as the vocal tone. The vocals of this guy are detracting from the music for me, is what it is. So yeah, I don't give much attention to vocals unless it's obviously detracting from music, which is what It's obviously doing here for me. I suppose that's why SleepToken, as one of these "newer" bands, never rubbed me the wrong way..
