I've never heard of Versus but picked this up in a charity shop today for 25p on the basis I liked the cover. Kind of a poppier Sonic Youth feel to it.

There was a bit of late 90's early 2000s American indie there (Jim White, Joy Zipper) and a bit of 'Outlaw Country' (Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson) so looks like someone's pretty decent collection was donated recently. I grabbed a few.

sick in a good way or bad? granted their black metal stuff was/is a bit meh but the last 4 albums are superb

A band that defies genre. Could hardly be labelled punk (in the typical sense) with an overweight middle aged bearded drummer & liberal splashings of prog-rock & jazz thrown into the mix.
