Gig prices are ridiculous now but they still sell. And for some reason the nobhead quotient has gone through the roof with the prices - self absorbed narcissists taking selfies and talking constantly who can't contemplate that there might be people in the crowd who are there to watch and listen to the band.

Not that the bands are arsed. Certainly not the older artistically dead 'legacy' acts who'll reform at the drop of a hat if there's a chance of selling tickets for hundreds of pounds.
