Slightky incongruous mind, but being born of an Irish working class family, the 60's and 70's were all about a sense of fashion and dressing sharp on one your one night off down the Palais.
I remember being woken up with my Mam coming home after twp Bacardi's singing Motown songs and sending the babysitter on her way.
All an Irish girl wanted to do was dance and sing.
My Mam loved Elvis and Motown.
