Saw her a few years back at the Cheltenham Jazz festival. Absolutely incredible voice and a great musician. I particularly like it when she sings in French.

Because it's misunderstood. A girl I work with claims to hate jazz yet will say 'I like this' whenever I play Herbie Hancock or Two Banks of Four or even John Coltrane. Trying to explain the broad brush of styles is impossible.
I think jazz is possible, but rarely recognised.

So, as with all the Wolf Alice albums for me, the new one has taken a high number of rotations for me to get on board. As it gelled though, I thought every track is really solid, the others have had 2 or 3 I could take or leave. But I didn't think it had an absolute killer.
Listening to it today, I think this is it:

Would agree. I think you need headspace to appreciate these. Her voice is somewhere between a tormented soul and broken hearted.
