What are you currently listening to?

One of the first albums I owned as a child. Somewhere between 2 and 5 in my early collection. Strangely enough the very first album I ever asked for as a gift and received was Hotter Than July by Stevie Wonder.

For some reason I've been listening to stuff that was all over the radio when I was a kid...REO Speedwagon, Chicago, Cheap Trick...oh no, here comes another

My mom was a massive fan of Barry Manilow and Captain and Tennille in my youth. So it's what we listened to. Chicago as well. I remember the first time I heard Master Blaster (Jammin) and was completely taken by such a different sound than I had ever heard. Had to have it.

My soccer coach when I was 10-11 introduced me to AC/DC and Maiden shortly thereafter and I was hooked on heavier sounding stuff.

Stuck in a Foreigner loop...help me, it's

Was at one of my local favorite microbreweries the other day, and they play vinyl. They put on the entire J. Geils "freeze frame" album, which I lump together with Foreigner 4 and REO Speedwagon's Hi Infidelity as part of a pop-trinity that shaped my 6th grade suburbanite mindset. I hadn't heard "freeze frame" in its entirety since probably 1981 or so. Gonna request Foreigner 4 next.

Haha...everything you just said brought me back to a pizza joint when I was a kid. First time I ever heard Jack and Diane by John Cougar.
