The latest 'hype band', Black Midi's album has come it and it's pretty good. Certainly different to most hype band's as they are clearly influenced by This Heat, Pere Ubu, Slint, The Fall etc which is a nice change. They are very young. Quite a nice mess.

Seem them live the other week, crazy how easy she's able to switch between melodic singing and demonic roaring like it's nothing

Takes a lot of technique to swing between the low end growling and the almost operatic at times singing.
